Comments
Skinned up the north facing ridge of 10 420. Transitioned at the top of 10 420 and started to ski down into Northeast bowl. After a few turns, I noticed the new snow and old snow bonding was pretty poor. I initiated a hard turn to see if I could start a slide and started a wet loose slide at about 10,000 feet. It was slow moving, but continued to entrain snow as it widened into about 50 feet or more at the bottom. At the toe the debris pile in the trees would have been deep enough to partially if not fully bury someone.
After safely descending, I found a rollover and made a hard turn on that as well. It also slid in the same manner as the slide previous.
